Mundo Deportivo journalist fiercely criticizes Laport

    0 0 93

After failing to register Olmo and Pau Torres, Marçal Lorente, a journalist for Mundo Deportivo and a commentator for La Sexta, expressed his dissatisfaction with Barcelona's management, especially president Laporta.

    The journalist's full statement:

"Journalism's role isn't merely to react after the match results are out; it's to explain and expose what happens every minute. The disgrace of the Olmo affair is a result of an amateur and corrupt management style that threatens to drag the club into the abyss. A few of us have been consistently highlighting all the mistakes and irregularities committed:

Inflating the losses of the 2020/21 season to €250 million, severely impacting financial fair play rules.

Not renewing Messi's contract when the club needed investment, and not signing with CVC, which was Florentino's instruction.

Giving away Griezmann, Mirotic, and Jasikevicius for free. (Note: the latter two are former Barca basketball players)

Insulting Koeman, then confirming him, only to fire him two months later in the season.

Losing face in the Champions League and Europa League.

Modifying the code of ethics, replacing excellent professionals, and promoting family members.

Deleting the bylaw clauses that limit debt, facilitating the gradual sale of the club.

Inserting intermediaries in all club deals, embezzling club funds, and sharing the profits.

Altering the renovation project of the Camp Nou, causing costs to double and forcing the team to move to Montjuïc.

Modifying the tender conditions to choose a Turkish construction company that is not world-class and making false promises about delays.

Closing a €1.5 billion financing at a high interest rate of 5.5%, crushing the club, and forgetting about Palau.

Spending €330 million on 33 players, most of them of average level, relying on players who originally belonged to the youth academy.

Signing Vitor Roque for €70 million, whose level does not meet Barca's requirements, and whose agents are Deco and Andre Cury.

Handing the club over to agents Pini Zahavi, Jorge Mendes, and Fali Ramadani, with whom they have had commercial dealings.

Breaking the club's spending record in history but not recovering to the pre-pandemic income level.

Selling club assets through unpaid "levers," threatening the club's future viability.

After winning the league, dismantling Xavi's work structure, firing Jordi Cruyff and Mateu Alemany because they were too honest, then denying Xavi in front of the players, confirming and then firing him, humiliating him for two consecutive weeks.

Destroying all club departments, especially the basketball department.

Treating members unfairly by increasing the price of membership cards and season tickets through online meetings, canceling the "Seient Lliure" compensation, and allocating 100% of the seats to tourists, angering fans and leading to protests from the World Fans Association, resulting in 15,000 members resigning.

This has been a term full of shadows, filled with evidence of incompetence and malice, which we have been exposing. Criticizing the management is not opposing the club, but protecting it and defending the interests of the members, who are victims of the abuse of power by these dishonest leaders known as populists.
