Eintracht Frankfurt has officially announced the signing of 22-year-old center-forward Younes Ebnoutalib from SV Elversberg. The Frankfurt-born striker is set to join the club on January 1, 2026, after agreeing to a long-term contract that runs until June 30, 2031. According to reports from Sky Germany, the transfer fee is valued at €8 million, plus potential bonuses that could bring the total deal to €10 million.
Ebnoutalib has been a standout performer in the 2. Bundesliga this season, currently leading the scoring charts with 12 goals in 17 appearances. Standing at 1.91 meters tall, the forward has enjoyed a rapid rise since joining Elversberg in January 2025. His journey back to his hometown of Frankfurt follows a varied developmental path, including youth stints at local clubs like SV 07 Heddernheim and Rot-Weiss Frankfurt, as well as a period in Italy with AC Perugia before finding his breakthrough in the German second tier.
The club's leadership has expressed high expectations for the new arrival. Board member for sport Markus Krösche highlighted Ebnoutalib’s physical presence and goal-scoring threat, noting that his local roots should facilitate a smooth transition. Sporting director Timmo Hardung added that Ebnoutalib is currently one of the most exciting strikers in German football, praised for his work ethic and technical ability. His arrival provides the coaching staff with a significant new physical profile to bolster the team's attacking options for the second half of the season.
