Bayer Leverkusen have officially announced that Nathan Tella has signed a contract extension until June 30, 2031.

Official statement from Bayer Leverkusen:

The club have agreed an early contract extension with Nathan Tella. The 26-year-old is capable of playing as a right winger, second striker, or left winger, and has now signed a deal running until June 30, 2031. Tella joined Leverkusen from Southampton FC in 2023, and his previous contract had been set to expire in the summer of 2028.

Sporting director Simon Rolfes said:

His identification with the club is evident every day. From a sporting perspective, his pace and technical ability are standout qualities that bring real value to our team.”

Tella also commented:
