After Barcelona’s 3-1 home victory over Real Betis in the league, the club held a farewell ceremony for Robert Lewandowski, with the veteran Polish striker delivering an emotional speech.

“For me, this is both an emotional and a sad day. When I arrived at Barcelona, I already knew this club was great, but your love made this journey truly incredible. From the very first day, I felt at home in Barcelona and in this stadium, and I will never forget those moments when you chanted my name.

“I want to thank my teammates, all the coaches I have worked with, and every member of the staff. It has been an honour to play for this club.

“Over these four years, I have experienced so many wonderful moments, and I am proud of everything we achieved together. Today I say goodbye to this stadium, but Barcelona will always remain in my heart. Thank you to all the fans — once a Culé, always a Culé.
