Tottenham and Manchester United Weigh Move for Victor Osimhen

    0 0

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window. Tottenham’s attacking options currently include Dominic Solanke and Richarlison, but questions remain over their long-term reliability. Solanke has struggled to consistently reproduce his best form since arriving from Bournemouth, while Richarlison is entering the final year of his contract, leaving uncertainty over his future.

Tottenham previously added Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, but the French forward was not retained permanently and has since moved to Juventus. With Spurs not competing in European competition next season, their existing options could be sufficient for the campaign. However, the club is reportedly assessing whether Osimhen would provide the quality and firepower needed to strengthen the squad.

Manchester United have also discussed the possibility of signing the Nigerian striker, although their need for another centre-forward appears less urgent. Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee are already available, while Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Marcus Rashford can also provide attacking cover. United are therefore unlikely to make a serious move unless there are further changes to their forward line.

Osimhen remains one of the most highly regarded strikers in European football, combining pace, physical strength, aerial ability and clinical finishing. His performances in Turkey have continued to highlight his goalscoring qualities, while his desire to play in the Premier League could make a move particularly appealing. However, his wage demands and Galatasaray’s reluctance to sell mean Tottenham would likely need to make a substantial offer to have any chance of completing the deal before the summer window closes.
