Mundo Deportivo has published a report discussing Alejandro Balde’s potential departure from Barcelona.
Marc Casadó and Andreas Christensen have both accepted the possibility of leaving the club and are now waiting to determine their next destinations. Both players have received different offers and are currently evaluating their options before making a final decision.
Balde’s situation is different. Although Hansi Flick left him out of the squad for the previous match and handed the starting role at left-back to Gerard Martín, the final decision still rests with the player himself.
For now, the full-back wants to fight for his place at Barcelona and will only consider leaving if the club makes it clear that he is no longer part of their plans. Barcelona, however, will only open the door to a departure if Balde himself requests a move and brings an offer to the club.
In fact, Barcelona’s plans to sign a left-footed centre-back have been temporarily put on hold, with everything dependent on whether Balde decides to leave. Only if he departs will Barcelona consider signing **Castello Lukeba from RB Leipzig**, who is reportedly one of Flick’s preferred options at centre-back.
