Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keeping a close eye on FC Porto right-back Alberto Costa as they continue to monitor emerging talent in Portugal. The 23-year-old defender has attracted attention after an impressive first season back in Portuguese football, with several major European clubs also tracking his progress.
Costa returned to Portugal following a brief six-month spell at Juventus, who sold him for slightly more than the amount they had paid for him in January 2025. His return to Porto proved highly successful, as he quickly became an important part of the team that secured the 2025-26 Primeira Liga title.
The right-back made 47 appearances across all competitions last season, underlining his growing importance to Porto. His performances have reportedly attracted interest from PSG, Arsenal and Manchester United, while Porto are protected by a significant release clause that could make any potential transfer a substantial investment.
PSG have been particularly active in the Portuguese market in recent years and are continuing to strengthen their options at right-back, where Achraf Hakimi remains a key figure. With no immediate need to replace Hakimi, the French champions could opt to monitor Costa until the end of the season before deciding whether to make a major move for the Porto defender.
