Tottenham Hotspur could have an opportunity to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window after AC Milan reportedly made Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek available for a potential move. Spurs are expected to assess their options after an underwhelming start to the 2026/27 campaign highlighted several areas that may require additional depth.

Both Tomori and Loftus-Cheek are reportedly entering the final year of their contracts at San Siro, with Milan not currently planning to extend either agreement. The Italian club is therefore open to letting the experienced English players leave in January as part of an effort to create room for new arrivals. Intermediaries have already approached several clubs about the availability of the pair.

Tottenham are among the teams believed to have been approached, alongside Newcastle United, Everton, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Sunderland and Fulham. Coventry City have also emerged as a possible destination, with manager Frank Lampard familiar with both players from his time in charge at Chelsea. Their previous working relationship could make a reunion an appealing option for the newly promoted side.

For Tottenham, the availability of two experienced Premier League players could provide an interesting opportunity if the financial terms are favorable. Tomori's ability to operate at centre-back and right-back could offer additional competition for Pedro Porro, while Loftus-Cheek could add physicality, mobility and versatility to the midfield.

The final decision will depend on Tottenham's recruitment plans and whether the club believes either player fits its needs for the second half of the season. Milan's willingness to consider departures could make both players accessible in January, while Coventry's connection with Lampard gives them another potential route away from San Siro.
