Benjamin Sesko has emerged as a potential target for both Barcelona and Juventus ahead of the 2027 summer transfer window. The Manchester United striker is reportedly being considered by the two European giants as they look for long-term solutions in attack. Juventus are actively serching for a new forward, while Barcelona continue to assess their options after missing out on Julian Alvarez.
Barcelona remain interested in adding a natural number nine despite Raphinha proving effective in a central attacking role. The Brazilian’s performances have reduced the urgency to sign a striker, but the Catalan club still want a long-term solution for the position. Sesko’s physical presence, finishing ability and strength inside the penalty area make him an attractive candidate, although questions remain over whether his style would fit Barcelona’s preferred approach.
Juventus are also evaluating their attacking options and have reportedly placed Sesko alongside Folarin Balogun on their shortlist. Since joining Manchester United in 2025, the Slovenian forward has scored 14 goals in 38 competitive appearances. Standing at 1.95 meters, Sesko offers a significant aerial and physical threat, while his ability to combine with teammates gives him qualities beyond simply finishing chances.
Manchester United are reportedly valuing Sesko at around €75 million, meaning any potential move would require a major financial commitment. His future at Old Trafford is expected to be reviewed at the end of the season before the club decides whether a transfer in 2027 would make sense. His development and performances over the coming months could therefore have a major influence on his long-term prospects.
For Barcelona, however, the asking price could become a major obstacle. The club appears to favor a striker capable of moving freely, creating spaces and contributing to a fluid attacking system, qualities that made Alvarez particularly appealing. While Sesko possesses considerable potential and a strong physical profile, Barcelona will have to determine whether those strengths justify a reported €75 million investment.
