Indonesia League Cup 2026/2027 Draw: 38 Clubs Divided Into 12 Groups

The draw for the 2026/2027 Indonesia League Cup has officially determined the group-stage lineup for the competition, which returns after being absent since the 2018/2019 season. A total of 38 clubs from the Super League and Championship divisions will compete for the title, creating a tournament that brings teams from different levels of Indonesian football together once again. The draw was conducted by I.League with representatives from the PSSI and former Indonesia internationals involved in determining the groups.

The participating clubs have been divided into 12 groups across the Western and Eastern regions. Each group contains three teams, with the competition structure designed to limit travel demands during the opening phase. Only the group winners will advance to the knockout stage, where they will face qualified teams from the opposite region. This format gives every club a realistic opportunity to progress while also creating several potentially competitive matchups between established top-flight sides and ambitious Championship teams.

In the Western Zone, Group A features Persija Jakarta, Sumsel United and PSMS Medan, while Group B brings together Bhayangkara FC, Semen Padang and PSPS Pekanbaru. Dewa United, Persita Tangerang and Persiraja Banda Aceh make up Group C. The second Western section includes Java United, Adhyaksa FC Bekasi and PSIS Semarang in Group D, followed by PSIM Yogyakarta, Persikad Depok and Persiku Kudus in Group E. Group F consists of Garudayaksa FC, PSS Sleman and PSGC Ciamis.

The Eastern Zone also offers several intriguing combinations. Persebaya Surabaya, PSBS Biak and Kendal Tornado FC are placed in Group G, while Persik Kediri, Persis Solo and Deltras FC occupy Group H. Group I contains Persijap Jepara, Madura United and Persela Lamongan. In the second Eastern section, Bali United FC, Barito Putera and Persiba Balikpapan form Group J, PSM Makassar, Persipura Jayapura and De Red FC are in Group K, while Arema FC, Isenmulang Kalteng FC and Rans Nusantara FC complete Group L.

The 2026/2027 Indonesia League Cup is scheduled to begin on November 3, with each club playing two group-stage matches, one at home and one away. The structure makes every result especially important because there is little room to recover from a poor start. Persib Bandung and Borneo FC have already secured places in the quarter-finals after finishing as the champion and runner-up respectively in the 2025/2026 Super League. Their early qualification leaves the remaining 36 clubs fighting for the other knockout-stage places, setting the stage for an exciting return of the competition.
