Gennaro Gattuso has been named Serie A Manager of the Month for October 2026 after guiding Lazio through an outstanding run of results. The former Italy international midfielder enjoyed a perfect month, leading his side to four victories from four matches. His achievement highlights the impressive progress Lazio have made under his leadership and establishes Gattuso as one of the standout managers in the Italian top flight this season.

Lazio have also emerged as serious contenders in the league, remaining unbeaten after their opening ten matches. They have collected nine victories and one draw, making them one of only two teams yet to suffer a defeat this season. Their consistency and attacking quality have helped establish them among the strongest sides in Serie A, with Gattuso's tactical approach producing impressive results.

October proved particularly successful for the capital club. Lazio began the month with a 3-1 victory over Monza before delivering a convincing 3-0 win against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium. They followed that performance with another victory over Monza, this time winning 2-1, before completing the month with an emphatic 6-2 triumph away to Sassuolo. Four consecutive wins gave Gattuso a strong case for the individual honour.

This award represents the first time Gattuso has received Serie A's Manager of the Month recognition since the prize was introduced during the 2021-22 campaign. Previous winners this season included Frosinone's Massimiliano Alvini, who collected the awards for August and September. Gattuso's achievement further strengthens his reputation as a manager capable of building competitive teams and delivering consistent performances.

Gattuso is scheduled to receive the award before Lazio's next home league fixture against Lecce on 21 November, following the international break. The recognition comes at an important moment for the club as they look to maintain their unbeaten record and continue challenging near the top of the table. With confidence growing and results going their way, Lazio will hope their impressive form can continue throughout the remainder of the season.
